This is Incredible!!

Wow!! Is anyone else mesmerized by the turn around this time has done over the course of a two week period other than me? I mean it's nothing short of miraculous if you think about it. Everyone (including myself) was very ticked off at the management over the trading of Jake Peavy. But my inner hatred only lasted merely a day when I found out the very next night that Clayton Richard was starting, so I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. What did he bring to the table? How about a no hitter through four innings, does that tickle your fancy enough? He impressed me with his 5.2 innings of 2 hit ball. Ended up not getting the decision, but it happens, then he went out there the next go around and won his start, so that makes the Peavy trade blow softened in my eyes.  I have been a Padres fan since I could remember and we have been through highs and lows. I have had to replaster quite a many doors during my adolescence. But what they bring to the table now, (Gwynn's hitting and fielding, Richard and Lato's pitching, Cabrera and Eckstein's work ethic) makes it hard not to root for them. I have a feeling 2010 is going to be a real good year. We might not be at the level of division winner yet, especially with the Rockies and Dodgers always finding a way to get it done. But we can still have a shot at the Wild Card. Pretty impressive and I am very excited and optimistic. Who's with me? Anyone, anyone?  Let's go Padres! #19 lives on Forever.
